“If you knew that you were going to die tomorrow, would you still be holding on to those grudges? Have you healed the old wounds with people that you love in your life?” These are questions that Shoshana Berger asked a captive audience after her book, "A Beginner's Guide to the End: Practical Advice for Living Life and Facing Death" was published. Co-authored by BJ Miller, the book explores how we show up in our lives and acknowledge the truth that one day we won't be here. The authors, a former senior editor at Wired and a palliative care physician, each had their own experiences that reinforced just how precious our days and hours are. "We all die," Berger said. "If we talk about things openly, we tend to be less afraid.” { read more }
