Janet Adler: Into the Light

Janet Adler (1941-2023) is the founder of the Discipline of Authentic Movement, and the author of "Offering from the Conscious Body. A book that delves into the, "theory and practice of a unique body-based process that is cathartic, creative, healing, and mystical...This Western awareness practice encourages the individual to experience the evolving relationship with oneself, another, the collective, and the divine through the natural impulses of conscious movement, compassionate witnessing, and clear articulation of experience." A year before her passing, Berlin-based photographer Jens Wazel visited Adler at her home and studio on Galiano Island. In his words, "We embarked on a journey of discovery, a collaborative process that was rich with mutual inspiration and learning, and which developed into a friendship. The result of our work together is the film: "LIGHT | Five Days with Janet Adler". It is a homage to the life and legacy of one of the great teachers of our time..."
