Such is the hidden message within the award winning short documentary made in 2023 by Searchlight Studios. In a nondescript warehouse in the heart of Los Angeles, a dwindling handful of devoted craftspeople maintain over 80,000 student musical instruments, the largest remaining workshop in America of its kind. Were it not for these dedicated people who keep the musical instruments in working order, students would not have access to music. Yet, what becomes clear is that had not each crafts person also received a helping hand in their own lives, they would never have found their way into the job at the Los Angels schools themselves. Meet four unforgettable characters whose broken-and-repaired lives have been dedicated to bringing so much more than music to the school children of the recording capital of the world.
