Seeing Through the Lens of Good

Jeanine Lim has been working with villagers in Vietnam for more than 20 years. Starting as a personal endeavor with her mother, Project Give Pray Love has grown to become a community effort that helps children in the Mekong Delta region stay in school through tuition grants, books, stationery and bicycles to get to school. Now the filmmaker and lecturer is helping introduce students to overseas community projects with a twist: by teaching them how to capture the villagers' stories through documentary filmmaking. This video follows the journey of one of the students as he wrestles with the challenge of being behind the camera but wanting to be in the thick of helping the villagers. { read more }
